Support & Troubleshooting

Most PC hiccups are software, driver or setup related. This page gives you quick, friendly fixes you can try at home before raising a support request.

If you are stuck, we will always try to help. Our warranty covers hardware faults, but we also offer reasonable guidance for software, drivers and game related issues during your warranty period.

Quick Checks

These simple checks fix a surprising number of issues.

  • Restart the PC and your game or launcher.
  • Fully shut down, switch the PSU off for 30 seconds, then power back on.
  • Make sure the monitor is plugged into the graphics card, not the motherboard.
  • Check both ends of the HDMI or DisplayPort cable are firmly seated.
  • Remove any new USB dongles, hubs or accessories and test again.
  • Verify or repair game files in Steam, Epic, EA or Battle.net.
  • If the issue started after an update, driver install or new app, undo that change first.
Tip: If something worked fine yesterday and suddenly stopped after an update, the update is the first thing to suspect.

Windows Won’t Boot

Enter Recovery Mode
  • Power on the PC.
  • As soon as you see spinning dots, hold the power button to force the PC off.
  • Repeat this 3 times.
  • Windows should enter Automatic Repair, then choose Advanced options.
Uninstall The Latest Update
  • Go to Troubleshoot.
  • Select Advanced options.
  • Select Uninstall Updates.
  • Try Latest Quality Update first.
  • If needed, try Feature Update next.
System Restore Or Startup Repair
  • Go to Troubleshoot.
  • Select Advanced options.
  • Try Startup Repair first.
  • If that fails, try System Restore and choose a restore point from before the issue started.
Command Prompt Fixes

From Advanced options, open Command Prompt and try the following:

sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
chkdsk C: /f /r

CHKDSK can take a long time, especially on larger drives.

Clean Install GPU Drivers

GPU driver problems are one of the most common causes of crashing, stuttering and poor game performance.

Standard Clean Install
  • Download the latest driver from NVIDIA, AMD or Intel.
  • Uninstall the current driver from Apps and Features.
  • Run the new installer.
  • Choose Clean Install, Factory Reset or similar if offered.
  • Restart the PC and test again.
DDU Deep Clean Method
  • Download Display Driver Uninstaller and the latest GPU driver.
  • Boot into Safe Mode.
  • Run DDU.
  • Select your GPU vendor.
  • Click Clean and Restart.
  • Install the latest GPU driver after Windows loads normally.
When testing stability, temporarily disable overlays such as Discord, Steam, GeForce Experience, AMD overlay and MSI Afterburner.

Game Crashing Or Not Launching

Quick Fixes
  • Verify game files in your launcher.
  • Update your GPU drivers.
  • Disable overlays.
  • Temporarily disable third party antivirus as a test.
  • Run the game as Administrator once.
  • Reset in game graphics settings to default.
Low FPS After An Update
  • Roll back to the previous GPU driver.
  • Reset graphics settings.
  • Turn off ray tracing or frame generation as a test.
  • Use the High Performance power plan in Windows.
  • Close background apps, launchers and recording software.

No Display Or No Signal

  • Make sure the display cable is plugged into the graphics card, not the motherboard.
  • Check the monitor input source matches the cable you are using.
  • Try HDMI if DisplayPort is not working.
  • Try a different cable if possible.
  • Try a different port on the graphics card.
  • Power off, switch off the PSU, reseat the GPU and reconnect PCIe power cables.

Storage Problems

New Drive Does Not Show In Windows
  • Right click Start.
  • Open Disk Management.
  • If prompted, initialise the disk as GPT.
  • Right click the unallocated space.
  • Create a New Simple Volume.
  • Assign a drive letter and format as NTFS.
Why Does 1TB Show As Around 931GB?

This is normal. Drive manufacturers and Windows calculate capacity differently, so a 1TB drive usually appears as around 931GB in Windows.

Scanning And Repairing Drive Every Boot

Try running these checks:

chkdsk C: /f /r
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

High Temperatures Or Fan Noise

Check Temperatures
  • Use HWInfo, LibreHardwareMonitor or similar to check CPU and GPU temperatures.
  • Check temperatures at idle and while gaming.
  • Make sure front intakes are not blocked.
  • Clean dust filters gently.
  • Check that all fans are spinning.
AIO Cooler Basics
  • If an AIO screen is not working, check the internal USB 2.0 cable.
  • Make sure the pump is powered from the correct header.
  • Pump headers are often labelled AIO_PUMP or CPU_FAN.
  • The pump should usually run at full speed or the manufacturer recommended setting.

RGB Not Syncing

  • ARGB is normally 3 pin 5V.
  • RGB is normally 4 pin 12V.
  • These are not compatible with each other.
  • Some fans need their own controller.
  • If your motherboard has no 5V ARGB header, use the case or fan controller instead.

USB, WiFi Or Bluetooth Missing

  • Install the latest chipset drivers.
  • Install the latest LAN, WiFi and Bluetooth drivers from the motherboard manufacturer.
  • Check internal USB 2.0 headers for front panel devices or screens.
  • Use Device Manager to check for missing drivers or warning icons.

BIOS Basics

  • Load Optimised Defaults if you changed settings and the system became unstable.
  • Enable XMP, DOCP or EXPO only if the system is stable with it enabled.
  • We do not support or recommend overclocking.
  • Running parts outside safe limits can cause crashes and may affect warranty.
